Some friends have already written about this, so I’ll just briefly recap: around the beginning of the 20th Century, some important Canadian Engineers decided it would be A Good Idea to have some sort of ritual to impress upon new Engineers that they have huge responsibilities to society now. They enlisted the help of Rudyard Kipling to develop an appropriate ceremony, who came back with such a thing, and a symbol of that commitment: The Iron Ring. [...]

That should be closer to 30 than to 25, right? Otherwise, the new math is really screwing with me...
Did I tell you my plan to write my novel this spring? "This Side of 30"... :P Seriously, I've got characters and plotlines all over the place. In my head.

Be careful! I LOVE pineapple, always have. I loved it so much that i would eat one fresh pineapple weekly for months on end. i just always had it sliced in chunks in the fridge. After a lifetime of loving the fruit without a problem i started to get a sore mouth when i would eat it...and i thought it was just the acidity. Until one day when i had a mix drink in a restraunt, and couldn't breath after a couple of sips. I became hot a dizzy, and almost left in an ambulance. now i can't get near pineapple as it has developed into a full blown allergy. a little lesson in moderation i guess.
